The project, in partnership with the province of Vicenza and the IUAV University of Venice, is to improve air quality and climate. This is a participative and geographically distributed forestation campaign, which will allow the company to combine environmental improvement (meeting the 2030 UN agenda targets) with an incisive Green Marketing campaign calibrated on tangible and concrete actions that can be included in its sustainability report. The distinctive element of the project, is the choice of varieties; native and allochthonous species divided into two macro-categories according to their environmental benefits:
Trees
In light of the enormous public health issues related to air pollution, evergreen and late defoliating species have been made available to help capture particulate matter during the period of greatest need (the winter season).
Trees
and safeguard bees
In light of the major issues related to the loss of biodiversity and the reduction of endangered native species in the area with the consequent increase in exotic species, tree species that favour the establishment and pollination activity of bees have been made available.
The municipalities of the Chiampo Valley firmly believe in this initiative and will play a coordinating role in the project to ensure maximum tree planting and environmental well-being throughout the area. The project is also part of the air pollution prevention measures being defined by the Province of Vicenza.
